Known for his musical talent and network, Nathaniel's journey began as a young child in the church. Beginning on percussion, he transitioned to the bass guitar by age 10. He grew well in playing bass and did most of his learning by ear, but by the time he entered junior high, he wanted to challenge himself more. He began his journey in piano and found that this instrument deepened his love for music. His formal training happened through his high school years at the Valley Stream Central High School Performance and Arts Program, in which he learned the healthy marriage of sight reading, theory and playing by ear. He was selected in 2005 as one of few NYSSMA Jazz Vocals and Ensemble both at the All State and All County levels.  

He currently is playing with Gospel Jazz Big Band “International Sounds of Praise”, led by conductor Everton Bailey of Perfecting Faith Church. The passion has become a career for him as he serves as Music Director/Piano Instructor in both Brooklyn and Queens.
