Melody Escoboza

Melody Escoboza's musical journey started when she was very young. She always knew she wanted to become a singer. She started to audition for musical plays at school, and attended many after-school programs for singing, acting, and dance. She has received the opportunity to study voice, music theory, sight and ear training, beginner piano, and vocal performance at Queensborough Community College.

Melody also went to Lincoln Center for a summer to study voice and studied at Kaufman Music School for piano and voice for two years. Along with that, she studied at Frank Sinatra School of the Arts High School for classical/opera chorus and Latin jazz ensemble. Being a Hispanic music teacher helps her understand more about her culture and music, and hopes to share that with others as well.

Melody has performed at Luses Moses School, Lincoln Center, and Carnegie Hall. She has a well rounded repertoire of genres she can teach, which including: musical theater, opera, pop, jazz, Latin jazz, hip pop, soul, and R&B.

Her teaching philosophy has always been about following your path and doing what you love! When she was very young, she wanted to embark on a musical journey and now she's ecstatic to be able to share her knowledge with any student who wants to start their own journey. Not only does she want to help students grow musically, but also teach them how to build on that as a future career!
